BANDITO &#8211

Male · Puppy · 4 months

Breed: Parson Russell Terrier / white-brown Age: January 1, 2025 Updated: April 24, 2026 PRT male dog BANDITO shows himself to be very friendly and approachable towards us. Rassetypically, BANDITO is equipped with a prey drive, agile, hardworking, intelligent, and a whirlwind. Leash manners are present, and veterinary visits and car rides in the box are no problem for him. He does not know cats in the same household and would chase them if they were outside. With larger dogs, if the chemistry is right, BANDITO also gets along well with male dogs at our shelter. With smaller dogs, he often displays his macho terrier behavior. Basic commands still need to be built up and deepened. BANDITO will surely be a great companion, provided he is adequately and meaningfully challenged and occupied according to his breed. Dog training classes are a condition. He must be encouraged with varied walks, tracking, head work, and search games – depending on what brings him joy or fun – but not overburdened, as sufficient rest periods are also very important for a dog's well-being. BANDITO requires a consistent but fair handling and structure, a confident dog handler who imparts clear rules to the self-assured, young male dog and can keep him mentally in check even when he's in a mood. He is absolutely not a beginner dog. He quickly picks up the weaknesses of a person 😉. His coat must be regularly trimmed by a professional. BANDITO came to us from a PRT female dog Malou (re-homed) from an animal protection case. He was born in Poland and brought to Switzerland as a puppy. For the friendly, energetic BANDITO, we are looking for a single spot in a great environment with active people with lots of time and dog experience. A house/apartment with a well-secured garden would be nice, but does not have to be present. He will only be re-homed with people who allow him to go to work or someone who spends a lot of time at home. He is not suitable for small children or cats. Share your interest in an animal with us via email and include the completed questionnaire for the respective animal type. The questionnaire can be found >>> HERE. BANDITO – ist reserviert Rasse: Parson Russell Terrier / weiss-braun Alter: 01. Januar 2025 Aktualisiert: 24. About BANDITO &#8211

What life with BANDITO &#8211 looks like

BANDITO &#8211 is a small puppy/kitten dog waiting at Aargauischer Tierschutzverein ATs in Zug (Allenwinden & Neuheim).

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting BANDITO &#8211, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about BANDITO &#8211?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Aargauischer Tierschutzverein ATs handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw BANDITO &#8211 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt BANDITO &#8211 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Aargauischer Tierschutzverein ATs will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is BANDITO &#8211 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if BANDITO &#8211 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Aargauischer Tierschutzverein ATs early rather than rehoming privately; they know BANDITO &#8211 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
