Bea

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 1 year

A sweet and gentle soul named Bea, approximately 1.5 years old (born around Feb 2025), 41 cm in height, female, spayed, is still in the animal shelter in Poland. Bea is a gentle and, for her age, rather calm female dog. She doesn't run up to people wagging her tail yet, but she gains more trust every day - in her surroundings and in people who mean well to her. 😊 At her previous owners, she was kept on a chain 🙁, but fortunately, she was rescued by an animal friend and brought to the animal shelter. The hustle and bustle in the animal shelter is still a bit much for Bea, but she's doing her best to adjust to this new life - and more of her lovable nature is coming to the fore every day: she held still bravely during the vet check, she's making great progress in leash training, and she got along well with her fellow canines from the start. Bea is really ready for the next chapter! We wish our sweet Bea a home with loving people who will accept her as a treasured family member and provide her with a worry-free dog life. Bea will certainly thank you as a loyal companion at your side! If you're interested in Bea, please get in touch quickly. We look forward to you.

About Bea

What life with Bea looks like

Bea is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at home4dogs in Home4dogs.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bea, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bea?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. home4dogs handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bea on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bea if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — home4dogs will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bea already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bea isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with home4dogs early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bea and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
