Beau is a 5-year-old female cat who needs some help. She is very shy around us, but she has been living with her 5 kittens and taking great care of them. Now that they can take care of themselves, it's time for Beau to have some "me-time"! Beau comes from a home with many cats, which may have led to her being scared of people. She doesn't know us very well yet. Fortunately, we can see the first steps in the right direction. She is showing herself more often, taking food from us, and allowing herself to be petted very gently. With more practice and a trusted owner, this will definitely be built on. We are looking for an experienced owner who enjoys helping her get used to people. Children or a desire for children are not suitable for this process. A quiet environment with 1 or 2 fixed people is best. Don't expect her to jump on your lap in a few weeks, but enjoy every step she takes (literally or figuratively) towards you. This will definitely be an experience that will give you a lot of satisfaction. Despite (or because of?) living with many cats, we notice that she prefers to be alone, so we are placing her as the only cat in the house. Beau doesn't need to go outside, but she does need space inside. We also recommend starting in one room and gradually expanding it as her confidence grows. Laten we Beau aan u voorstellen, want ze heeft hierbij wat hulp nodig. Dit meisje van een jaar of 5, is nog erg afwachtend naar ons. Zij is binnengekomen met haar 5 kleintjes, waar ze heel goed voor heeft gezorgd. Maar nu die zonder haar kunnen, is het “me-time” voor deze dame! Beau komt uit een huis waar veel katten samen leefden, te veel. Voor haar als individu was weinig aandacht en zo is het waarschijnlijk gekomen dat ze best bang is voor mensen. Ze kent ons gewoon nog niet zo goed. Gelukkig zien we ook al de eerste stapjes op de goede weg. Ze laat zich steeds vaker zien, neemt eten van ons aan, en laat zich heel voorzichtigjes aanhalen. Met wat meer oefening en een vertrouwde eigen baas, zal dit vast verder uit te bouwen zijn. Voor haar zoeken we dan ook een ervaren eigenaar die er plezier in heeft om haar verder te laten wennen aan mensen. Kinderen of een kinderwens passen niet bij dit proces. Een rustige omgeving met 1 of 2 vaste mensen is het beste. Verwacht u niet dat ze binnen een paar weken op schoot kruipt maar geniet van ieder stapje wat ze (letterlijk of figuurlijk) naar u toe maakt. Dan wordt dit sowieso een ervaring die veel voldoening zal geven. Ondanks dat (of doordat?) ze met veel katten samen leefde, merken we hier dat ze meer houdt van op zichzelf zijn, we plaatsen haar dan ook als enige kat in huis. Beau hoeft niet naar buiten maar heeft dan wel binnen de ruimte nodig. We raden ook aan om in het begin in 1 ruimte te beginnen en die langzaam uit te bouwen naarmate haar (zelf)vertrouwen groeit.
