Benji is one of Roxana's protégés. Roxana is an animal lover with a big heart who always takes in dogs in need. All the dogs live in her private house... which of course has its limits and Roxana always has to check if she can still take in another animal. Benji wandered around the street looking for food. Roxana couldn't just look away and leave him with the risk of being run over and thus also took Benji in. He is a nice little guy who also gets along well with the other dogs in the house. His left hind paw is probably a bit crippled from a past accident. The veterinary examination in Romania concluded that an operation to straighten the bone would not be useful, as it would probably only change the situation, but not improve it. Benji also gets along very well with this little limitation. He can certainly run and play like all the others. Nevertheless, he may not be the ideal partner for people who have high sporting expectations from their dog. But whoever is looking for a dog for moderate walks and cozy hours at home will definitely have a great buddy by Benji's side.

Benji ist einer von Roxanas Schützlingen. Roxana ist eine Tierschützerin mit einem großen Herzen, die immer wieder Hunde aus der Not aufnimmt. Bei ihr leben alle Hunde in ihrem Privathaus… das hat natürlich Grenzen und Roxana muss immer schauen, ob sie noch ein Tier unterbringen kann. Benji irrte Futter suchend am Straßenrand entlang. Roxana konnte nicht wegschauen und ihn zurücklassen mit dem Risiko überfahren zu werden und nahm somit auch noch Benji auf. Er ist ein netter, kleiner Kerl, der auch gut mit den anderen Hunden im Haus klarkommt. Seine linke Hinterpfote ist vermutlich durch einen zurückliegenden Unfall ein wenig verkrüppelt. Bei der tierärztlichen Untersuchung in Rumänien kam man zu dem Schluss, dass eine Op zum Knochenrichten nicht sinnvoll sei, da man damit die Situation wahrscheinlich nur ändern, aber nicht verbessern könnte. Benji kommt aber auch sehr gut mit dieser kleinen Einschränkung klar. Er kann durchaus laufen und toben wie alle anderen auch. Dennoch ist er vielleicht nicht der ideale Partner für Menschen, die große sportliche Erwartungen an ihren Hund haben. Wer aber einen Hund für moderate Spaziergänge und gemütliche Stunden Zuhause sucht wird mit Benji sicher einen tollen Kumpel an seiner Seite haben.
