About Odin

Found at the age of about 8 weeks, Odin and his siblings grew up well in the Shelter. Three of them were able to get their own home in Germany. The remaining three, however, had unfortunately not the chance to be adopted as a puppy by a family and are still waiting for their chance. The older they become, however, the more difficult it becomes, as experience with fear dogs is necessary. Odin has spent almost his whole life in the shelter. It is not easy for puppies/young dogs that grow up so isolated from the outside world. Although they are super socialized with fellows, they lack so many everyday influences and contact with different people. They often see only the animal protectors on site for long periods of time. They don't know children, cars, maybe they're afraid of umbrellas or people who, for example, walk on the floor, or so many other encounters. You don't know so many sounds out there and are often very scary in the first time. During our visit in September 2020 we could not touch Odin and his siblings. Odin is one of the three most fearful and does not even come close to people or avoid them consistently. For him we are only looking for people who know themselves with fear dogs, have a very good and highly fenced garden and give Odin all the time he needs to trust. Odin will not be stubborn and he also knows no leash, crockery or collar. This must be learned with patience and means a very great task.
