Adoption Requirements Adoption Process Request this animal now! Adoption Requirements Adoption Process Request this dog now! When you look into little Beren’s face, you just can’t help but smile. With his beautifully and uniquely patterned eye area, his gaze has an irresistibly mischievous quality—as if he’s already plotting his next little prank. Like his siblings, Beren is one of the puppies born to mother dog Adele. His story began in a way that’s far from typical for a young pup. He first saw the light of day right by the side of the road, constantly threatened by passing cars. Fortunately, the little family was rescued just in time. Today, Beren is about 2 months old, stands roughly 29 cm tall, and is ready to win over the hearts of his new family. Which breeds are mixed into this little guy remains his little secret—after all, even his mother’s origins are unknown, so herding dog genes cannot be ruled out. When fully grown, he’ll probably reach a pleasant, medium size. Whether he gets along with cats hasn’t been tested yet. Beren is a typical, carefree puppy. He’s still unfamiliar with life within four walls, everyday noises, house training, or walking on a leash. Therefore, his future humans should show him—with plenty of humor, calmness, and patience—step by step just how wonderful life as a dog can be inside a home. A puppy brings lots of joy—but also a great deal of responsibility. Beren needs loving yet clear guidance to grow into a confident companion for everyday life. This includes understanding that after the cute puppy stage, puberty is just around the corner—a phase during which the little rascal will surely test his limits. But with positive reinforcement training and attendance at a dog school, Beren will master this phase with flying colors. Are you looking for an energetic companion and do you have the time needed to help a young dog explore the world? Then please get in touch with us. Beren travels chipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated, complete with his EU pet passport. The

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen!

About Beren

What life with Beren looks like

Beren is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Beren, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Beren?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Beren on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Beren if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Beren already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Beren isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Beren and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
