Urgent heart adoption needed for Betsy. Appearances can be deceiving. That “tough guy” look, with ears mutilated by some delinquent, might lead one to misjudge her. Betsy is a pitbull mix with a calm and gentle temperament, medium-sized, born in 2016, and since 2019 has been confined to a kennel following abandonment. Her prominent mammary glands and mutilated ears reveal a past marked by exploitation and abuse—but these experiences have not compromised her docility or trust in humans. At the shelter, she shares her enclosure with male dogs. The stress of forced confinement often causes her to develop dermatitis and sores all over her body; her short coat suffers greatly from both winter cold and summer heat. Betsy has tested positive for leishmaniasis—a serious disease that can—and must—be tackled without fear, simply through careful attention and dedication. We are ready to provide all necessary information and offer support on this issue as well to anyone who decides to make the wonderful gesture of helping us bring her out of the kennel’s cage.

Adozione del cuore urgente per Betsy Le apparenze ingannano. Quell’aspetto da “bulla” dovuto alle orecchie tagliate da qualche delinquente possono trarre in inganno. Betsy è un derivato pitbull dal carattere tranquillo e docile, taglia media, nata nel 2016 e dal 2019 è reclusa in canile in seguito ad abbandono. Le mammelle sporgenti, le orecchie tagliate rivelano un passato fatto di sfruttamento e soprusi ma che non hanno compromesso la sua docilità e fiducia nell’essere umano. In canile divide il box con cani maschi. Lo stress della detenzione forzata la porta a riempirsi spesso di dermatite e piaghe sul corpo, il pelo raso a soffrire moltissimo il freddo d’inverno ed il caldo d’estate. Betsy è risultata positiva alla leishmania, malattia seria ma che può e deve essere affrontata senza timore, soltanto con cura e dedizione. Noi siamo disponibili a fornire tutte le informazioni e a dare assistenza anche su questo aspetto a chi deciderà di compiere il bellissimo gesto di permetterci di tirarla fuori dalla gabbia del canile.
