Her story: Our lovely Betty looks at us with her large, amber eyes. She is full of questions, full of uncertainty. She was brought to the shelter by the dog catchers and no longer understands the world. At the moment, Betty is still very shy and reserved. When our team visited the shelter in October, we got our first chance to engage with her more intensively. After a few minutes, she began to slowly warm up. She took treats out of our hands with caution and showed signs of trust. We were even allowed to enter her kennel, where she continued to sniff curiously and accepted treats. However, being stroked still found her uncanny. She was never aggressive or growled; it was simply too much for her. Betty needs time and people who can show her with patience and love that closeness can be beautiful. We do not know if she ever lived in a family or experienced affection. Since Betty has not yet allowed herself to be touched, we unfortunately could not test her with other dogs or cats, but we assume she is compatible with her fellow animals. The local helpers will try to bring her into the run. With her approximately 3 years of age, she has already gone through puberty. Nevertheless, there will certainly be some challenges for the new human-dog team. She needs people who can approach her with love and patience. A visit to the dog training classes can also be a beautiful activity with her after a certain period of getting used to it. Visually, it cannot be ruled out that Betty is a Mioritic-Mix. After an adjustment phase, she could show herding dog traits. Mioritic are very fine and sensitive dogs and a highly sought-after breed through their loyal and calm nature. We hope so much that Betty can now experience the beautiful sides of life and learn that there are people who only want the best for her. Would you give your heart to the lovely Betty? Betty is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated. She brings an EU pet passport and can be adopted after a positive foster home trial. Ihre Geschichte: Unsere hübsche Betty blickt uns mit ihren großen, bernsteinfarbenen Augen an. Sie sind voller Fragen, voller Unsicherheit. Sie wurde von den Hundefängern ins Shelter gebracht und versteht die Welt nicht mehr. Im Moment ist Betty noch sehr schüchtern und zurückhaltend. Als unser Team im Oktober vor Ort war, haben wir uns das erste Mal intensiver mit ihr beschäftigt. Nach einigen Minuten begann sie langsam aufzutauen. Vorsichtig nahm sie Leckerlis aus der Hand und zeigte erste Anzeichen von Vertrauen. Wir durften sogar zu ihr in den Zwinger, wo sie weiter interessiert geschnuppert und Leckerlis angenommen hat. Streicheln jedoch fand sie noch unheimlich. Niemals war sie dabei aggressiv oder hat geknurrt; es war einfach zu viel für sie. Betty braucht Zeit und Menschen, die ihr mit Geduld und Liebe zeigen, dass Nähe etwas Schönes sein kann. Wir wissen nicht, ob sie jemals in einer Familie gelebt oder Zuneigung erfahren durfte. Da Betty sich bisher noch nicht anfassen lässt, konnten wir sie leider noch nicht mit anderen Hunden oder Katzen testen, aber wir gehen davon aus, dass sie mit ihren Artgenossen verträglich ist. Die Helfer vor Ort werden versuchen, sie in den Auslauf zu bringen. Mit ihren ca. 3 Jahren hat sie die Pubertät bereits hinter sich. Dennoch werden bestimmt noch einige Herausforderungen auf das neue Mensch-Hund-Team warten. Sie benötigt Menschen, die mit viel Liebe und Geduld vorgehen und sie in Ruhe ankommen lassen. Ein Besuch in der Hundeschule kann, nach einer gewissen Eingewöhnungszeit, auch eine schöne Aktivität mit ihr zusammen sein. Rein optisch kann nicht ausgeschlossen werden, dass Betty ein Mioritic-Mix ist. Nach einer Eingewöhnungsphase könnte sie Herdenschutzhund-Eigenschaften zeigen. Mioritic sind sehr feine und sensible Hunde und eine sehr begehrte Rasse durch ihr loyales und ruhiges Wesen. Wir hoffen so sehr, dass sie nun die schönen Seiten des Lebens kennenlernen darf und erfährt, dass es Menschen gibt, die nur ihr Bestes wollen. Schenkst du der hübschen Betty dein Herz? Betty ist kastriert, gechipt, geimpft, entwurmt und entfloht. Sie bringt einen EU-Heimtierausweis mit und kann nach positiver Vorkontrolle und gegen eine Schutzgebühr von 500 Euro in ihre neue Familie ziehen.
