Adopt BETTY (rrc)

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 4 months

Gorgeous Betty was rescued by the lovely Sorana from the streets when she was a very small puppy. She was lucky enough to have been adopted by an English lady and went to live on her farm. Betty liked it in her house, but then she wasn’t able to keep her so herself and Betty’s friend Blossom were moved to a private shelter. Even though she has lived in a house, Betty is quite shy, but once she finds her forever home and learns to trust again Betty will be a wonderful companion .Behaviour: Betty is slightly shy until she has learned to trust you. Although she has lived in a home with other dogs, she will need time to adjust again to a home environment.Ideal home: Betty needs experienced adopters who are willing to go slowly to build her trust. She is not aggressive, just shy and scared. She can live with another, gentle dog in a rural or semi rural location with a large garden and access to quiet walks. Betty is spayed, fully vaccinated and weighs approx. 25kg.

About BETTY (rrc)

What life with BETTY (rrc) looks like

BETTY (rrc) is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Stray2Me Rescue in United Kingdom.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting BETTY (rrc), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about BETTY (rrc)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Stray2Me Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw BETTY (rrc) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt BETTY (rrc) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Stray2Me Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is BETTY (rrc) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if BETTY (rrc) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Stray2Me Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know BETTY (rrc) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
