Bianca

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 4 months

I have no known medical issues but I need blood tests to make sure there are no underlying issues Bianca was found in a cave on the beach in Spilia when she just gave birth to six puppies. They were fostered all together in a home with dogs and cats and got the best socialization and care. After that they all came to the shelter in the spring. Bianca is just as playful as her own pups. She was just one year old herself when she became a mom… Three of her puppies got adopted and for Bianca and the other three puppies we're looking for forever homes. It shouldn't be hard to find a home for Bianca. She is an adorable dog with an amazing character. She is gentle with other dogs and also with small children. She is shy at first but she absolutely loves people. In short, she could be a fantastic family dog! She also walks really well on the leash.Bianca weighs 14 kg and measures 50 cm till the shoulders.

About Bianca

What life with Bianca looks like

Bianca is a small puppy mixed breed dog waiting at Gouves Shelter in Heraklion.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇬🇷Adopting from Greece

Greek shelters often partner with Northern European rescue groups for placements. Animals are sterilized, vaccinated, and chipped before adoption. Fees vary widely depending on whether the shelter is municipal or NGO-run.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bianca, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bianca?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Gouves Shelter handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bianca on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bianca if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Gouves Shelter will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Bianca already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bianca isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Gouves Shelter early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bianca and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
