Bianca

Unknown · Senior · 9 years

Name: Bianca Breed: this breed Sex: female, spayed Date of birth: approx. 09/02/2021 Height at withers: approx. 70–75 cm Weight: approx. 38 kg Location: Refugio des Tierschutzvereins Fudiacio d´Animals, Reus, Tarragona (Spain) Bianca is an absolutely wonderful XL-sized lady dog. Until recently, she lived in a home but was abandoned—definitely not the classiest move. Her former owner probably thought Bianca’s home couldn’t be traced back to him. The female dog was found… yet the owner then showed up at Craig’s animal shelter, simply wanting to pay the outstanding dog tax amounting to €80.00. Unbelievable, right?! All we can do is shake our heads... The good news: Bianca now has the chance to find a home a thousand times better than her previous one! Craig describes Bianca as exceptionally friendly and open toward all people and dogs, though still a bit awkward on leash and harness. But walking isn’t really top priority for a this breed: they prefer guarding their home territory and need plenty of space… which is why we’re not looking for a new home in the middle of a big city. Could you imagine giving Bianca a home? Would you like to offer XL female dog Bianca a home full of love and security? Bianca’s adoption coordinator, Bettina Thoma, looks forward to your call, email, SMS, or WhatsApp message. *** Good to know: As soon as someone expresses interest in this furry friend, Craig takes a blood sample to ensure the most current possible results for Mediterranean disease testing. So please don’t hesitate to let us know if you’ve fallen for her 😉 *** Bianca will travel to her new life microchipped, vaccinated (rabies and 5-in-1), dewormed, tested for Mediterranean diseases, spayed, and equipped with an EU pet passport. This animal was surrendered to the shelter.

H. v. 80,00 Euro begleichen.

About Bianca

What life with Bianca looks like

Bianca is a large senior dog waiting at Tierfreunde Europa e.V. in Simonswald.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bianca, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bianca?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierfreunde Europa e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bianca on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bianca if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierfreunde Europa e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bianca already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bianca isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierfreunde Europa e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bianca and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
