BIANKA

Mixed Breed · Female

BIANKA, born 08/08/2020, SH, approximately 60 cm, weight around 22 kg, spayed, vaccinated, chipped, dewormed, more information (MMK) to follow. BIANKA is a small, cute female dog with a charming personality. She is very affectionate, sweet, docile and uncomplicated. She greets people kindly and openly, and also gets along very well with other dogs. BIANKA already walks well on a leash and is pleasant and manageable. Unfortunately, her behavior suggests that she has not only had good experiences in her previous life. She sometimes reacts fearfully to sudden movements, crouches to the ground and tries to make herself small. However, she shows no fear towards people and likes to seek their company. BIANKA needs people who approach her with calmness, patience and understanding and give her the security she may have been missing. She must certainly still learn that she is now safe and that no one wants to harm her. With loving guidance, BIANKA will increasingly gain trust and develop into a wonderful and loyal companion. Who would like to show the little BIANKA how beautiful a safe dog life can be? Contact: Andrea Heidebroek, Email: andreaheidebroek-friends.org or via WhatsApp

About BIANKA

What life with BIANKA looks like

BIANKA is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein Galgo-Friends e.V. in Germany.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting BIANKA, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about BIANKA?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Galgo-Friends e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw BIANKA on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt BIANKA if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein Galgo-Friends e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is BIANKA already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if BIANKA isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Galgo-Friends e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know BIANKA and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
