Biene

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Young · 2 years

I am Biene! I came to the shelter as part of a mandatory inspection and am now looking for people who can show me with patience how beautiful the world can be. I am a friendly and curious dog who is initially very uncertain in unfamiliar situations and with strangers. Then I need the support of my humans to give me security and give me the necessary time. My caregivers are showing me the world step by step and I am incredibly diligent. Every day I open up a little more and take on new challenges with my delightful nature. When I have gained trust, I enjoy intense petting. I get along well with other dogs, cats have not been tested so far. I am currently showing no health problems. For my new home, I wish a quiet residential area and loving people who give me the time I need to really settle in and open up. I am looking for people who do not overwhelm me, but show me life step by step and with a lot of patience. I will probably not be a self-confident dog overnight, but I am incredibly diligent and enjoy every small progress. Whoever gives me this time can look forward to experiencing how I come out more and more. A confident dog may already live with you, cats would have to be looked at individually. If you want to show me the world with patience, understanding and a lot of love, then please contact the shelter and get to know me personally.Your Biene

Deine Biene

About Biene

What life with Biene looks like

Biene is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein St. Pölten in St. Pölten.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇦🇹Adopting from Austria

Austrian shelters follow the federal Tierschutzgesetz framework: adopters sign a Schutzvertrag (protection contract) committing to the animal's welfare. Spay/neuter, microchip, and vaccinations are included; fees typically range €150–€350.

Frequently asked

Adopting Biene, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Biene?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein St. Pölten handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Biene on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Biene if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein St. Pölten will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Biene already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Biene isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein St. Pölten early rather than rehoming privately; they know Biene and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
