Bim - VON PRIVAT

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 1 year

♂, born approx. 11/2025, Bim is a male Jack Russell mix puppy born around November 2024 with a shoulder height of 30 cm and weighing 9 kg. Bim longs for one thing above all: a quiet home with a garden where he can finally arrive, take a deep breath, and rest at his own pace. A place where he doesn't have to constantly "function" - but can just be Bim. He is house trained and an agreeable companion in everyday life. Long walks are not really his thing - but he thrives when allowed to run around freely in the dog exercise area. With a short leash, he can run almost free there and already listens quite well to recall. It's clear: if you give him security and work with him fairly, he willingly cooperates. Large events and much commotion overwhelm him - that is simply not for him. Bim needs people who respect this and rather give him peace, structure, and small adventures instead of a constant program. He gets along well with other dogs, and cats are no problem for him either. And yes: Bim has character. He can be a bit stubborn - but that's what makes him so special. At the same time, he is incredibly affectionate: when "his" people come home, he is happy every time as if it were the most wonderful event in the world. He already knows a few tricks - "Sit", "Paw" and Co. - and is eager to learn more. With patience, loving consistency, and a secure framework, this little guy will become a wonderful partner for life. Bim is looking for people with heart who can give him a quiet home - preferably with a garden - and understand that real bonding doesn't have to be loud, but reliable. About Bim - VON PRIVAT

What life with Bim - VON PRIVAT looks like

Bim - VON PRIVAT is a large young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Freund fürs Leben e.V. in Berlin.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bim - VON PRIVAT, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bim - VON PRIVAT?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Freund fürs Leben e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bim - VON PRIVAT on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bim - VON PRIVAT if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Freund fürs Leben e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bim - VON PRIVAT already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bim - VON PRIVAT isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Freund fürs Leben e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bim - VON PRIVAT and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
