Abituato ad indossare la pettorina, in passeggiata a guinzaglio è abbastanza bravo, anche se tende ad essere un po’ predatorio al passaggio di biciclette o di alcuni veicoli, è perciò importante avere una buona dimestichezza nella gestione del guinzaglio.
