Lola – adottabile a distanza

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 9 years

Generalities: beautiful and very sweet gray tabby cat with bright yellow eyes. Vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV-FeLV. Unfortunately, she has a serious physical problem that we describe in the 'background' section below. Personality: Lola is a love: calm, sweet, sunny, and affectionate. She is very sociable and enjoys cuddles and other attention. Previously housed in a small enclosed garden within the cat shelter, she got along very well with her companions Flavio and Lazzaro (who were adopted a long time ago). Ideal adoption: we know it will not be easy to find an adoption for her with this disability. We have thought that a possible solution could be a setting where she has the freedom to go out into a safe, fenced garden or courtyard, equipped with a wooden house or a large covered bed where she can hide or rest, but also with the possibility of entering the house when she feels the need for human warmth, cuddles, or simply some home comfort. She will inevitably make a mess even in the house, and therefore a person who is willing to clean when necessary and who is not discouraged by this problem is needed. It could be considered to set up a area of the house for her, for example a basement, with appropriately protected furniture, so that the mess is limited to a specific area and/or less "important" (naturally kept clean anyway), always with the possibility of going out. Because it's a physical problem, independent of the cat's will, she must not be scolded when she has accidents. Moreover, it is useless and harmful to try to "retrain" her to use the litter box or to make her wear diapers. The staff, veterinarians, and behaviorists from ENPA are available to discuss practical solutions or alternative ideas with you. As a character, Lola is suitable for everyone, but someone very special who is willing to welcome and love her is needed. We believe that a single adoption placement is appropriate to avoid the hypothetical risk of conflicts with other animals and any discomfort due to the presence of feces or urine. Available for adoption only in the province of Monza and Brianza and in the immediately adjacent municipalities. Background: found injured in Cernusco sul Naviglio (MI). An abdominal X-ray revealed a lesion in the spine. She has no difficulty walking, and is as agile and elegant as any cat, but the trauma unfortunately had a heavy consequence, leaving her incontinent. Although she feels the urge (you can tell by the crouching posture she takes), she is unable to control the emission of feces and urine, and therefore sometimes she has accidents. The condition is unfortunately permanent. Due to her disability, she is not housed in a fixed box but is free in our animal shelter park, with several warm houses available, a solution that she likes very much too.

About Lola – adottabile a distanza

What life with Lola – adottabile a distanza looks like

Lola – adottabile a distanza is a adult mixed breed cat waiting at ENPA Monza e Brianza in Monza.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lola – adottabile a distanza, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lola – adottabile a distanza?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. ENPA Monza e Brianza handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lola – adottabile a distanza on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lola – adottabile a distanza if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — ENPA Monza e Brianza will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lola – adottabile a distanza already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lola – adottabile a distanza isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with ENPA Monza e Brianza early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lola – adottabile a distanza and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (IT). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
