Lili is housed at the Swiss Ranch. We provide placement assistance for the Animal Welfare Center/Swiss Ranch. The care of Lili costs an average of €100 per month; we are seeking sponsors. For 2026, monthly sponsorship covered: One-time donations: €0. For 2026 total so far: €0. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Current description July 2026: Lili came to us with her two siblings from friendly animal lovers. All three roamed the Puszta and had to be caught there. We do not know what their life was like before, but one thing is certain: at some point they lost trust in humans. When they arrived, they hardly dared to leave their hiding places for days. Every new noise, every movement and every approach triggered fear in them. It was heartbreaking to see how much they feared something that most dogs love so much - the proximity of humans. Since then, Lili has made a big step forward. Today she observes us curiously, is interested in her surroundings and cautiously seeks human closeness. Although her uncertainty is not yet completely gone, she overcomes her fear more and more often. In the meantime, she even lets herself be stroked - for Lili this is a huge progress. For Lili we are looking for people who know that you cannot force the trust of an anxious dog. She needs time, patience, understanding and lots of love to be able to open up completely. There will be small successes and perhaps one or two setbacks. But every step together brings human and dog closer to each other. We are convinced that somewhere exactly the person is waiting for her who does not expect everything to work out immediately, but celebrates even the smallest progress and gives her the time she needs. Whoever is willing to give Lili this time and to walk the long path of trust with her will be rewarded with a faithful companion for life. Because once a dog like Lili has given away his heart, he loves with all his heart. If more donations than indicated are received, they will be used for club purposes. About Bitte spenden Sie hier

What life with Bitte spenden Sie hier looks like

Bitte spenden Sie hier is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Pfotenhilfe-Ungarn e.V. in Schnarup-Thumby.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bitte spenden Sie hier, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bitte spenden Sie hier?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Pfotenhilfe-Ungarn e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bitte spenden Sie hier on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bitte spenden Sie hier if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Pfotenhilfe-Ungarn e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bitte spenden Sie hier already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bitte spenden Sie hier isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Pfotenhilfe-Ungarn e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bitte spenden Sie hier and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
