Lola is housed at the Swiss Ranch. We provide placement assistance for the Animal Welfare Center/Swiss Ranch. The care of Lola costs an average of €100 per month; we are seeking sponsors. For 2026, monthly sponsorship covered: One-time donations: €0. For 2026 total so far: €0. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Current description July 2026: Lola came to us with her two siblings from a friendly animal welfare organization. All three roamed the Puszta and had to be caught there with great difficulty. We do not know what their life was like before, but one thing is certain: their trust in humans has been deeply shaken. When they arrived, they hardly dared to leave their hiding places for days. Every approach, every new noise and every movement filled them with fear. It was painful to see how much they feared something that is the most natural thing in the world for many dogs: closeness to people. Since then, Lola has also made great progress. Today she observes us curiously, shows interest and seeks human proximity more and more often. Although uncertainty still lingers within her, she overcomes her fears step by step. In the meantime, she even lets herself be stroked, and sometimes she dares to get closer a bit more bravely. In the great heat, she has also discovered something that brings her joy: She enjoys the cool water in the paddling pool very much and refreshes herself there gladly - in these moments it becomes clear that joie de vivre and playfulness are also hidden within her. For Lola, we are looking for people who understand that the trust of an anxious dog does not develop overnight. She needs time, patience and a lot of love to be able to open up completely. There will be small advances and also calmer days, but every step together brings a deeper connection between human and dog. Anyone willing to take this path with Lola will be rewarded with something very special: a lifelong loyal companion who, once she opens her heart, hangs on to her human with all her being. If more donations than indicated are received, these will be used for the purposes of the association. If you do not agree with this, please contact us at:

About Bitte spenden Sie hier

What life with Bitte spenden Sie hier looks like

Bitte spenden Sie hier is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Pfotenhilfe-Ungarn e.V. in Schnarup-Thumby.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bitte spenden Sie hier, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bitte spenden Sie hier?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Pfotenhilfe-Ungarn e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bitte spenden Sie hier on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bitte spenden Sie hier if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Pfotenhilfe-Ungarn e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bitte spenden Sie hier already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bitte spenden Sie hier isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Pfotenhilfe-Ungarn e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bitte spenden Sie hier and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
