Bloom

Cavalier King Charles Spaniel · Female · Adult · 5 years

I can live with older, dog savvy teenagers, aged 13+ who respect my space. I need a resident dog to help me settle in and I have never met cats. I would like a secure garden to spend time in. I’ve never been on walks before and will need a gentle introduction. I have never lived in a home so I will need help to learn house training. I will be spayed before adoption, read below for more information! 13-08-26 Bloom is a gorgeous girl who has come to us from a breeder and is just the sweetest, most lovely natured lady! She can be a little worried at times, but she actually seems to gain some confidence once she is in your arms and enjoys the reassurance. Bloom relies on her kennel friends for comfort and can become worried when she is separated from them, so she will need at least one kind and confident resident dog in her new home that she can look to as she learns about home life and continues to build her confidence. Bloom has never lived in a home before, so she will need her adopters to be kind, patient and understanding as she learns all about house training and how to walk on a lead. She is an amazing girl who has so much love to give and we know she will absolutely adore home life once she is given the chance! She can live with older, dog-savvy children aged 13+ who are sensible. Our vets have noted that Bloom has a Grade 1 heart murmur, she doesn't require any medication for this, but it's something her adopters and their vet will need to monitor going forwards. She has a nail that has grown into her paw pad in her right hind leg and an inguinal hernia which will be fixed at the time of her spay. Bloom has a travel document. Bloom has been given the Gift of Life Vicki Coldman Through the generosity of a Gift of Life sponsor, this dog was able to leave behind an uncertain future in Ireland and find safety and care at Many Tears. Every sponsorship helps us rescue and save more dogs in desperate need. If you would like to become part of a rescue story, please consider donating to our Gift of Life fund. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.

About Bloom

What life with Bloom looks like

Bloom is a adult cavalier king charles spaniel dog waiting at Many Tears Animal Rescue in United Kingdom.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bloom, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bloom?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Many Tears Animal Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bloom on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bloom if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Many Tears Animal Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bloom already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bloom isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Many Tears Animal Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bloom and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
