Adopt Blue / Jenny

Male · Senior · 11 years

Blue and Jenny arrived in our care together and share a very close bond, so they are looking for a forever home where they can stay side by side. They are a lovely pair who are simply searching for a calm, quiet home where they can finally relax, enjoy home comforts, and spend their days curled up on a comfy sofa with people who will give them the love, fuss, and attention they adore. Both dogs are friendly and enjoy greeting people, always happy to say hello and soak up affection from those around them.Kennel life has been difficult for Blue and Jenny, so they will need patient and understanding adopters who can give them time to settle in and adjust to a new environment at their own pace. Once comfortable, they are affectionate companions who thrive on gentle attention and human company. They could live with younger children, provided they are respectful and understand when the dogs need space. Although they have shown no issues with dogs out on walks, Blue and Jenny would prefer to be the only dogs in the home so they can enjoy all the love and attention for themselves. They are not suitable to live with cats.More than anything, Blue and Jenny are looking for a second chance, a home where they can feel safe, loved, and finally leave kennel life behind for good.

About Blue / Jenny

What life with Blue / Jenny looks like

Blue / Jenny is a senior dog waiting at RSPCA Cornwall Branch in Saint Columb.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Blue / Jenny, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Blue / Jenny?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. RSPCA Cornwall Branch handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Blue / Jenny on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Blue / Jenny if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — RSPCA Cornwall Branch will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Blue / Jenny already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Blue / Jenny isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with RSPCA Cornwall Branch early rather than rehoming privately; they know Blue / Jenny and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (the shelter's own language). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
