Adopt Boba L

Mixed Breed · Male · Senior · 9 years

Age: Born in 2016 Gender: male neutered: yes Character: very friendly Size: approx. 55 cm Since in shelter: November 2023 Today we would like to introduce you to our Boba! Just his appearance alone makes the hearts of German Shepherd fans beat a little faster, doesn't it? He is a handsome fellow with his heart in the right place! Boba already had a home in Romania once. We don't know why he had to leave it. Nor do we know if he has ever lived in a house. But what we do know is that Boba is a very friendly dog who actively seeks out human proximity! He wants to please and enjoys every pat he can get. When it comes to other dogs, he is very loyal here in the shelter. Except for one young imposing male dog in his pen. To that young vegetable, he already shows his opinion quite clearly. But everything is very appropriate and proper. So, an already existing dog in his new home would certainly not be a problem. Although he is not the youngest anymore, when you meet him, it doesn't seem like he is already old. He is alert, lively, and does not give up in the shelter. So, as you can see, our Boba has the potential to be a dream dog! Despite all that, he will certainly need some time to adjust to his new life in his new home. Where are the German Shepherd people who want to give Boba a chance at a great life? The dear fellow would be over the moon to be able to turn his back on the shelter soon! You will see, Boba is really a dream dog! If you are interested in Boba, please fill out our interested parties form () or send us an email or a message on Facebook. Boba is ready to travel and can travel to Germany with the next transport. Our dogs travel legally with Traces. Traces refers to the database system that monitors the entire animal transport within the EU. The dogs travel neutered (if old enough), vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed, and have an EU passport. Additionally, for dogs over 12 months old, a rapid test for the following Mediterranean diseases is conducted before travel arrangements: Lyme disease, Anaplasmosis, Ehrlichiosis, Dirofilariasis, and leishmaniasis. The sponsorship for Boba has been taken over by Stefanie L. and ensures a full plate. Many thanks on behalf of the dogs!

Steckbrief Alter: 2016 geboren Geschlecht: männlich Kastriert: ja Charakter: sehr freundlich Größe: ca. 55 cm Im Shelter seit: November 2023 Heute möchten wir euch unseren Boba vorstellen!

About Boba L

What life with Boba L looks like

Boba L is a medium-sized senior mixed breed dog waiting at Seelen für Seelchen e.V. in Alfter.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Boba L, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Boba L?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Seelen für Seelchen e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Boba L on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Boba L if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Seelen für Seelchen e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Boba L already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Boba L isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Seelen für Seelchen e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Boba L and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
