Zindelijk: ja Herkomst: afstand Docanr: 1626 Soms zijn er katten die niet meteen naar je toe komen rennen voor aandacht. Katten die je eerst moet leren lezen, begrijpen… en vooral: de tijd moet geven. Bobbie is zo’n kat. Deze knappe heer van 11 jaar oud zit al wat langer bij ons in het asiel. Het leven hier vindt hij ontzettend spannend. Hij brengt het grootste deel van zijn tijd door in zijn schuildoosje, zijn veilige plekje in een wereld die voor hem nog heel overweldigend is. Nieuwe mensen vindt hij eng, en als hij zich bedreigd voelt, kan hij grommen om dat duidelijk te maken. Maar… achter die angst zit een andere Bobbie. Langzaam, héél langzaam, begint hij onze vaste verzorgers te vertrouwen. In het begin konden we hem alleen voorzichtig benaderen met een liquid snack. Inmiddels laat hij zich door vertrouwde gezichten ook voorzichtig aaien, vaak nog terwijl hij geniet van iets lekkers. Bij een vaste verzorger die hem bijna dagelijks bezoekt en veel tijd met hem doorbrengt laat hij zelfs iets heel bijzonders zien: tijdens het aaien maakt hij hele lieve, schattige, blije geluidjes. Een klein, ontroerend teken van hoeveel zachtheid er in hem zit. Dat is een enorme stap voor hem en laat zien dat er zeker contact mogelijk is, als je hem de tijd geeft. Bobbie is een echte eenkennige kat. Zijn vorige eigenaar gaf dit ook al aan. Bobbie verdient een rustige plek, een huis zonder drukte en zonder verwachtingen, waar hij in zijn eigen tempo kan wennen en vertrouwen kan opbouwen.
