Bobbin

Beagle · Female · Adult · 5 years

I’d like a home filled with love and kindness! I can be an only dog or live with other dogs. I have never met cats. I'd like a secure garden to sniff and play in. I'm new to lead walking and need some practice! I have never lived in a home so I will need help to learn house training. I've started my vaccinations and will be spayed before adoption. 29-06-26 Bobbin is a lovely Beagle who has come into our care from a breeder in search of a new start. She is an amazing little lady with so much love to give. Bobbin has a wonderfully affectionate nature and absolutely adores attention and fuss. She is always happy to spend time with people and enjoys soaking up every bit of kindness she receives. Bobbin gets on wonderfully with other dogs, so she would be happy to share her home with another friendly dog. However, she is confident enough that she could also be the only dog in the home, provided her adopters are around for much of the day to keep her company and include her in family life. We would also consider homing her with older dog savvy children. As Bobbin has never lived in a home before, she will need to learn all about house training, continue practicing her lead walking, and discover all the other basics of home life. Her new family will need to be patient and understanding as she adjusts to her new surroundings and learns what it means to be a much-loved pet. Bobbin has already started learning to walk on a lead and harness with us and is making good progress. As her confidence continues to grow, we hope she will enjoy one or two walks around the local area with her canine companion, giving her the opportunity to explore the world at her own pace. Bobbin is a truly lovely girl who deserves the chance to experience all the comforts of family life for the very first time. With love, patience, and the guidance of a confident doggy friend, we hope she will continue to blossom into a happy, affectionate companion. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.

About Bobbin

What life with Bobbin looks like

Bobbin is a adult beagle dog waiting at Many Tears Animal Rescue in United Kingdom.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bobbin, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bobbin?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Many Tears Animal Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bobbin on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bobbin if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Many Tears Animal Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bobbin already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bobbin isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Many Tears Animal Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bobbin and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
