BOBBY

Mixed Breed · Male · Kitten · 10 months

With his friendly and open nature, Bobby quickly won the hearts of everyone at our shelter. He is highly people-oriented and consistently displays curiosity and playfulness. Bobby gets along well with most other dogs. Whether interacting one-on-one or in larger dog groups, he actively seeks out their company. However, there are exceptions, and ultimately it’s his personal chemistry that determines who he wants to have around him. In dog groups, Bobby sometimes still gets carried away by his energy and approaches his fellow dogs with great enthusiasm, which can occasionally lead to conflicts. If he doesn’t immediately establish a good understanding with a particular dog, Bobby tends not to recognize—or respect—another dog’s boundaries on his own. With appropriate management and clear communication, however, this behavior can be easily managed. At the shelter, Bobby is now getting used to everyday life indoors and experiencing many new situations. Throughout this process, he remains remarkably balanced and usually meets new impressions with composure. He has also already successfully completed his first village training: cars, everyday noises, and unfamiliar people did not disturb him in the slightest. Bobby makes a wonderful companion on walks and generally behaves calmly during joint outings with other dogs. Nevertheless, Bobby’s interest in his fellow dogs remains quite high, and he still needs to learn that not every dog is eager to be greeted right away. Overall, he thoroughly enjoys shared activities and shows great openness and willingness to engage. Based on his appearance, we suspect that Bobby carries genetic traits of a livestock guardian dog. Therefore, we’d like him to be adopted by people who enjoy guiding him with clear structures and working lovingly yet consistently with him to support his development. A

About BOBBY

What life with BOBBY looks like

BOBBY is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Arche Noah Transilvania e.V. in Germany.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting BOBBY, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about BOBBY?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Arche Noah Transilvania e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw BOBBY on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt BOBBY if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Arche Noah Transilvania e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is BOBBY already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if BOBBY isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Arche Noah Transilvania e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know BOBBY and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
