Bobo

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 1 year

BoboMale dog, small in size. Approx. 1 year old (August 2026). Adores toys and other dogs! Meet BoboBobo's story began in the saddest way. In October 2025, at just 6 weeks old, he was dumped at the pound. Luckily, he survived. Fast forward, and he's grown into a happy, playful young boy who hasn't let his difficult start define him. His greatest love? Toys! Throw a toy and Bobo is in his element! He gets on brilliantly with other dogs, and has formed a particularly special friendship with beautiful Ladybird, who is also searching for her forever home. Bobo hasn't yet been tested with cats or children, but he adores canine company and has a fun-loving, affectionate nature. Thanks to Animal Support Trust, Bobo is sponsored while he waits safely at UB Pound which fortunately is a pound with great standards, but it's still no substitute for a family of his own, a toy box to raid, and a sofa to curl up on after a day of play. Bobo is vaccinated and negative on testing, and will be neutered before travelling to the UK. All our dogs are tested for the following prior to travel: Heartworm, Anaplasmosis, Erlichiosis, Lyme Disease, Brucellosis (since 11th June 2021). About Bobo

What life with Bobo looks like

Bobo is a small young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Balkan Underdogs in Tirana.

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇦🇱Adopting from Albania

The shelter typically completes the animal's vaccinations, microchipping, and pet passport before adoption. Specific fees and process details vary by shelter and country — confirm directly via the contact details in the sidebar.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bobo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bobo?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Balkan Underdogs handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bobo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bobo if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Balkan Underdogs will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Bobo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bobo isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Balkan Underdogs early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bobo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
