Bojar

Mixed Breed · Male

Bojar was found on Krčméryho 13 street in Košice. During a veterinary examination, dermatitis was diagnosed on the inner sides of his legs. Bojar is already healthy and ready to find his dream home. Bojar is a nice and friendly puppy who likes people and is soon a companion to everyone. He is active just right and adapts. If it's time for a walk, or another activity, he enjoys relaxing peacefully in his bed. With Bojar you will experience many beautiful moments and fun adventures. Thanks to his active nature, he is always ready for any activity, a great buddy for a car or a cart. He will love trips in nature, swimming in streams and playing around with his family. Gets along well with dogs and female dogs, but does not specifically seek their company. Handling is problem-free once he knows the person, but during veterinary procedures he becomes hysterical and we recommend putting him in a basket. Has good hygiene habits and behaves politely during the day. Bojar needs a person who will know how to work with him - patiently, consistently and with love. Who will show him acceptable boundaries, properly socialize and calm him down. A little is enough and he will be amazing and perfect!

SK·Show original

Bude milovať výlety v prírode, kúpanie v potokoch a šantenie so svojou rodinou. So psami a fenkami vychádza bez problémov, ale ich spoločnosť vyslovene nevyhľadáva.

About Bojar

What life with Bojar looks like

Bojar is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at ÚVP Košice in Slovakia.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇸🇰Adopting from Slovakia

Slovak rescue groups coordinate cross-border transport with European partners. Animals are chipped and vaccinated; sterilization is often included for adults and arranged post-adoption for puppies/kittens.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bojar, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bojar?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. ÚVP Košice handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bojar on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bojar if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — ÚVP Košice will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bojar already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bojar isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with ÚVP Košice early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bojar and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (SK). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
