Bolek

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 4 months

Bolek and Lolek are now "indoor only."** Because there is a threat to the Pumpkin Patches, it has been decided to move Bolek, Lolek and their buddy Jumbo to the sick bay at the caravan site. Of course this isn't the intention, but we need the puppy kennel for the little ones, and afterwards Bolek's (but especially Lolek's) socialization will go even better. At the caravan site the volunteers are present more often and usually aren't working flat out, so there is room for cuddling and playing. The dogs of the caravan crew are also closer now and get more from them. Bolek was already doing wonderfully, and Lolek is now too. 24-08-2026 **Not yet out of danger.** Bolek and Lolek were found by Katerina in the same collapsed house where the Cloud Crew was rescued. With once again no mama nearby and danger from further collapse, Katerina took the pups to the abandoned garden, where the family had moved out again. (Ed. The family who owns the house returned for a short period. Due to circumstances they have now very quickly gone back to Athens, and the garden is available again for Katerina.) Unfortunately Bolek in particular was very frightened, and Katerina cannot take them to the vet. As soon as they are a bit more used to people, that step will of course be taken as quickly as possible. Bolek and Lolek are named after a cartoon from the '80s/'90s. Hopefully they'll turn out just as funny as the cartoon characters. For now the dogs are not being promoted, but we are keeping an eye on them. Would you like to help with the costs for Bolek and Lolek? Then virtual adoption is a lovely way to do it! Virtual adoption is available from €7.50 per month. 21-09-2026 **The dog is doing well with the people!** The daily care and the tireless efforts to win their trust are paying off!!! Katerina can already pick up the boys. She remains careful and takes things calmly. Now that Katerina has been away from home for a few days, the Workaway volunteers will take over the task, and for Lolek and Bolek that is good news, because now they will see that Katerina isn't the only nice person. Workaway Alissa has already visited them a few times so they could get used to her. Of course we can't wait for new updates! **At this moment, Bolek (M) and Lolek (M) are both looking for a virtual adopter.** Today we are doing our best to find Bolek and Lolek at least a virtual basket, a kind of family of their own (but at a distance). Some animals may really not be able to come, or have a very small chance of coming to the Netherlands. In addition, not everyone has the space or financial means to take a housemate in. But if you would like to contribute on a structural basis and support a sweetheart, then virtual adoption or sponsorship at a distance may perhaps be something for you (for example for our dear puppies Bolek and Lolek). That way you can contribute monthly to the care of a dog and support your animal at a distance. You can do this from €7.50 per month. See our website for exactly how it works at adopteereenhondfts.nl/virtuele-adoptie/ 08-10-2026 **Bolek absolutely adores the volunteers.** He is super approachable, open and friendly. He is a little clown who also really loves lounging. Since the little pups were added, he has become more playful, in a careful way, but... he doesn't know his own size and weight and can be a bit clumsy. That is why it has been decided that the brothers should come to the FTS Safe Haven. The garden then remains safe for the littlest ones, and Bolek and Lolek get even better socialization. Of course they start in the puppy pen. 22-10-2026 **Bolek and Lolek arrived at the Safe Haven "too early" on 10-10-2026.** The right measures had been taken to keep them as safe as possible, but for the safety of the smaller litter they had to be moved. Bolek and Lolek have been doing even better since then. Lolek will be ready to be promoted at any moment, and Bolek already was. The sweet, playful pups are now becoming more social and affectionate at a rapid pace. On 17-10-2026 Jumbo joined them, and they immediately admitted him to the group and are playing with each other nonstop. They are very curious about the world outside the puppy kennel; just a little longer!!! And then the kennel door will open and they'll get a bit more freedom.
