Bombon

Mixed Breed · Unknown

Bombon – in Spain, it's not just an ordinary candy, but a delicacy made of chocolate and caramel, which is then also offered with all kinds of delicious fillings. Sweet on the inside and out and irresistible is our new arrival Bombon from Huelva – and that's why it's very surprising that no one has missed the seven-year-old (as of 09/2021) sunshine. Bombon was found in a park, where the charming terrier mix seemed to be waiting only for a new friend who would take care of him. Naturally, they checked the funny heartbreaker immediately for tattoos and a chip, but Bombon had no identification. Because the cute dog was not only in the best mood, but also well-groomed and well-fed, they informed all police stations and animal shelters, but even after weeks, no one had come forward who missed our calorie-free sweet treat. Now Bombon can hope that he will find a new family again, who wants to experience many fun and exciting years with him, who wants to give him a nice place on (or in an emergency also next to, Bombon will first do some convincing work) the couch, and who will love and pamper him. Bombon is a everybody's darling, and as a mixed breed of fox terrier and bodeguero, he is really the dream of every terrier fan. Our witty playmobile is always up for a long walk, Bombon loves wild tug-of-war and wishes for a colorful ball for Christmas. The cheerful gentleman is in the best age of manhood and loves children - probably because they are simply more enduring when it comes to jumping, jumping, playing ball, and rolling balls across the fields. Only with cats does Bombon's enthusiasm remain limited, he is after all a real terrier. The small tricolor candy wishes for a home without house cats, but gladly with another cheerful dog to shake up the new home a little. Bombon is an absolutely easygoing and modest companion, who hopes to move into a real home soon. Can you not resist his charming smile, and do you also have a dog bed free? Then contact us right away and find out how Bombon can soon make your life sweeter!

DE·Show original

About Bombon

What life with Bombon looks like

Bombon is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. in Gernsbach.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bombon, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bombon?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bombon on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bombon if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bombon already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bombon isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bombon and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
