Adopt BONNIE

Mixed Breed · Female · Senior · 13 years

BONNIE is a very shy and discreet kitten despite being a young one. She still hasn't let anyone pet her and runs away as soon as she feels we are too close, but she is quite the foodie and often comes for her meal. BONNIE is on the premises with her mother, who she is very close to and often naps with. BONNIE can only be let outside in a secure environment. The ideal family for BONNIE is one that is not afraid to open their home to a very shy cat who needs to gain confidence. BONNIE arrived at our shelter in 2014 as a kitten with her brother CLYDE (adopted) and her mother THELMA (still at the shelter). Estimated birthdate: 01/06/2013 Coat color: Turtle shell. Arrived at the shelter on: 30/03/2014 Vaccinations: Vaccinated with TCL but not up to date. Identification:

About BONNIE

What life with BONNIE looks like

BONNIE is a senior mixed breed cat waiting at Chat Quiberon in Quiberon.

Senior cats are the gentlest house guests: predictable, mostly silent, and grateful for a sunny windowsill. Older cats often have minor dental or kidney issues — keep an eye on water intake and weight. Many sleep eighteen hours a day and want no part of any drama.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting BONNIE, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about BONNIE?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Chat Quiberon handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw BONNIE on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt BONNIE if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Chat Quiberon will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is BONNIE already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if BONNIE isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Chat Quiberon early rather than rehoming privately; they know BONNIE and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
