Adopt Bonnie

Siamese · Female

BONNIE appeared in the parking lot of a family. She was three months old and alone. At that time, the best that could be offered was relocation to a controlled feral cat colony until our animal shelter became a reality and Bonnie could once again be transferred to a safer place. Bonnie wasn't very friendly towards people, but in the end, it wasn't too difficult to pick her up and pet her daily until she understood that no one there wanted to harm her. However, she preferred Blacky, a super noble male who was friendly with both cats and people, and who Bonnie treated as if he were her mother. Since Bonnie joined the rest of the garden cats, she lives in full freedom, happy, is friends with everyone, and has a boyfriend. Lince and she are inseparable; it's adorable to see them together every day, touching their heads and intertwining their tails, sharing each daily experience. Now Bonnie trusts everyone. She eagerly greets the volunteers every day. And she has a special and different way of doing it: she likes to give little nibbles at the tips of their fingers. She never bites, just greets in this very exclusive way. Bonnie is beautiful, very noble, and adored by all. It would be ideal to find a permanent family for this heartbreaker cat. Note: this animal has a bite history.

About Bonnie

What life with Bonnie looks like

Bonnie is a adult siamese cat waiting at Defensa Felina in Spain.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bonnie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bonnie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Defensa Felina handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bonnie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bonnie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Defensa Felina will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bonnie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bonnie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Defensa Felina early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bonnie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
