Bonny & Clyde

Female

Bonny & Clyde: Two young Maltese-Mix dogs For Bonny and Clyde, a new chapter of life is beginning - and they are each looking for a loving home where they can arrive and discover the world. They will be placed individually and do not have to stay together. The approximately one-year-old Maltese mixes are curious young dogs who probably haven't had much opportunity to learn or experience things yet. Accordingly, they need people who show them with patience, empathy and loving consistency how beautiful a dog life can be. Bonny is a delicate, sweet girl who initially approaches new situations cautiously. She shows herself reserved and sometimes a bit uncertain at first. However, once she has gained trust, it doesn't take long until her cheerful and playful side comes to the forefront. Then she enjoys every caress and is simply lovable. Clyde is the exact opposite - a young whirlwind with lots of energy and curiosity. He wants to discover the world, is open-minded, playful and always up for an adventure. Of course, he still has a lot to learn, but with the right guidance, he will surely become a great companion for active people. Both dogs want people who give them time to settle in and enjoy accompanying a young dog on his journey. Those who agree to this will be rewarded with two very special four-legged friends who are ready to finally start their new life. Maybe the home you're looking for is waiting for Bonny or Clyde. ❤️ Your contact for Bonny & Clyde: TERRA MATER e.V. About Bonny & Clyde

What life with Bonny & Clyde looks like

Bonny & Clyde is a adult dog waiting at TERRA MATER e.V. Tierauffangstation Lustadt in Germany.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bonny & Clyde, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bonny & Clyde?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. TERRA MATER e.V. Tierauffangstation Lustadt handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bonny & Clyde on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bonny & Clyde if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — TERRA MATER e.V. Tierauffangstation Lustadt will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bonny & Clyde already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bonny & Clyde isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with TERRA MATER e.V. Tierauffangstation Lustadt early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bonny & Clyde and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
