Adopt BOOTS

Mixed Breed · Female · Kitten · 10 months

BOOTS is a young female dog with a lot of energy and joy in life. She shows herself in everyday life to be friendly, open, and in a good mood, and her behavior strongly resembles the typical Labrador type: playful, people-oriented, and sometimes a bit boisterous. In interactions with other dogs, BOOTS is very social and compatible. She loves to play and could therefore also make a good second dog. A confident canine companion would certainly help her settle into everyday life and provide her with additional security upon arrival. BOOTS is currently learning to live in a house and still needs to learn many basic life skills. Especially important for her is consistent, but loving training as well as learning to be calm and relaxed in the home environment. On the leash, she is still a bit exuberant for her age and is learning that "kangaroo jumps" do not necessarily have to be part of a walk. With clear guidance and positive reinforcement, she will surely make progress quickly. For BOOTS, we are looking for active, dog-experienced, or learning-minded people who enjoy movement and ideally also have an interest in shared activities like dog sports or extended walks. BOOTS not only wants to be physically challenged but also mentally stimulated and seeks people who will lovingly but consistently explain the world to her.

About BOOTS

What life with BOOTS looks like

BOOTS is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Arche Noah Transilvania e.V. in Germany.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting BOOTS, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about BOOTS?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Arche Noah Transilvania e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw BOOTS on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt BOOTS if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Arche Noah Transilvania e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is BOOTS already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if BOOTS isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Arche Noah Transilvania e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know BOOTS and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
