adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Bounty has found a home! His story: Bounty is a real little dynamo. He was found in the woods with his siblings in terrible circumstances—trapped in a bound sack, left to die. The tragedy hit his siblings hard: one was already dead, another died at the vet, and a third succumbed to parvovirus later. Five brave siblings survived, and this cute little guy is one of them. Despite this traumatic backstory, Bounty has developed into a truly loving, friendly, and curious character. He cherishes human proximity above all, loves being stroked, and prefers to be right in the middle of things rather than just around. He gets along well with other dogs. His compatibility with cats has not yet been tested. Bounty is still a baby and has a lot to learn. Puppies should ideally not be left alone for long periods in their first year. House training and puppy-1×1 are not something he was born with, but must be learned piece by piece. Patience and consistent training, as well as a visit to puppy school, will help. Soon, Bounty will enter puberty, a phase where young dogs learn a lot and develop, but can also become small to medium-sized nervous wrecks. Patience and love are also needed here. Currently, Bounty is 31 cm tall and weighs 6 kg. He is expected to be medium to large in size. He has a small navel remnant that should be monitored. This young male dog is searching for a home where he can experience security and love and fully develop his wonderful personality. Who will give this special dog a second chance? Bounty is looking forward to your request. He travels microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated to his new home. He also has his EU pet passport in his luggage. A positive But he would also be overjoyed to go to a foster home. Thank you, Jutta S.! You gave Bounty his name and thus his identity. As of: 27.07.

Stand: 27.07.2025

About Bounty

What life with Bounty looks like

Bounty is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bounty, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bounty?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bounty on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bounty if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bounty already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bounty isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bounty and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
