05-11-26 Bramble is a very sweet lady who originally came to us from a breeder and was adopted for a short period but sadly returned due to her reactivity with other dogs. She absolutely adores people, but she can find seeing other dogs out on walks quite overwhelming, and her reactivity stems from fear rather than anything else. She is currently working really hard on building positive associations with other dogs and is making some lovely progress. We have found several calm dogs she is happy to walk alongside, which is a fantastic step forward! Bramble is also being muzzle trained so her future adopters can continue this training and help her feel safe when out and about, particularly in busier areas. Bramble is looking to be the only dog in her new home, where she can have all the attention to herself without the worry of sharing her space. She can live with older, sensible and dog-savvy teenagers aged 16+ who understand her needs. She will need an extra-secure garden with fencing of at least 6ft, as well as adopters with previous experience of reactive dogs, her breed and ex-breeding dogs. Bramble really is a lovely girl who is trying so hard to overcome her worries, and she has so much potential. She will need a family who understands that progress takes time, is happy to continue her training and can give her the patience and reassurance she deserves. We know that with the right people beside her, this special lady has so much to offer!
