Adopt Brandon / Rosie

Chihuahua · Male · Senior · 8 years

Meet Brandon and Rosie, an adorable pair of 8-year-old Chihuahua/Staffordshire Bull Terrier crosses who are proving that age is just a number! These bonded siblings are searching for a forever home where they can continue life’s adventures side by side.Although they may be seniors, they are both young at heart and full of personality. Brandon brings the cuddles and zoomies, while Rosie adds plenty of sass, charm, and waggy-tailed happiness to the mix. Together, they make the perfect dream team. These two are incredibly social and would fit beautifully into many homes. They have previously lived with children and could live with kids of any age. They’ve also happily shared their home with cats before, making them a wonderfully adaptable pair. When it comes to other dogs, they’re total pros. Rosie is a polite and friendly communicator, while Brandon enjoys meeting new canine friends and often looks to his sister for confidence and reassurance. Both Brandon and Rosie enjoy their walks and love exploring the world around them. Rosie does have a wonderfully stubborn side and may occasionally decide she would rather stop for a sniff than continue the walk just yet!At home, they are almost house-trained, can be left alone for short periods, and are happy sharing everything together, even their food bowl. They’ve even travelled on buses with their previous owner and are used to travelling together in a crate. If you have room in your heart and home for twice the love, twice the cuddles, and twice the fun, Brandon and Rosie could be the perfect companions for you.

About Brandon / Rosie

What life with Brandon / Rosie looks like

Brandon / Rosie is a senior chihuahua dog waiting at RSPCA Cornwall Branch in Saint Columb.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Brandon / Rosie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Brandon / Rosie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. RSPCA Cornwall Branch handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Brandon / Rosie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Brandon / Rosie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — RSPCA Cornwall Branch will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Brandon / Rosie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Brandon / Rosie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with RSPCA Cornwall Branch early rather than rehoming privately; they know Brandon / Rosie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (the shelter's own language). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
