Brave Bubba

Mixed Breed · Male · Kitten · 4 months

Bubba has been through so much as a kitten but has been so brave and is now ready and deserving of a furever home. Found him in a colony, he turned up with half of his face badly cut one side and infected. He of course was not very trusting of humans but with patience and love he let me clean his face every day and give antibiotics ready for an operation. It seems he had cut half is face off putting his head in a food can to lick its contents (PLEASE ALWAYS CRUSH YOUR TIN CANS BEFORE PUTTING IN THE BIN). He had a skin craft on the half of his face that was missing but sadly it did not have a blood flow so the skin died. So everyday I had to clean thoroughly and apply wound gel and eventually the skin grew back but sadly not the muscle or tissue beneath it but now all healed! His tongue does hang out that side of his mouth but he does not need any further vet treatments and lives a happy and normal life in his rescue sanctuary with me. I hope someone opens their heart and home to him as he so deserves it! He is now an affectionate lap cat that just loves lots of cuddles! Also a cheeky playful boy! About Brave Bubba

What life with Brave Bubba looks like

Brave Bubba is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Cyprus Pride House in Cyprus.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇨🇾Adopting from Cyprus

Cypriot rescues focus heavily on cross-border placements (the island has more strays than local adopters). Animals are fully vetted before flying. The adopter pays the transport, while the shelter coordinates vaccinations, chipping, and the passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Brave Bubba, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Brave Bubba?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Cyprus Pride House handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Brave Bubba on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Brave Bubba if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Cyprus Pride House will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Brave Bubba already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Brave Bubba isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Cyprus Pride House early rather than rehoming privately; they know Brave Bubba and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (the shelter's own language). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
