Bravo

Male · Adult · 5 years

Bravo is a tri-color mixed breed dog with a heart bigger than the shelter crate. Walking with him is pure pleasure - he walks calmly, doesn't pull, sniffs a lot and explores the world with the curiosity of a true gentleman. Walking with him is relaxing, not a challenge. In contact with other dogs, Bravo is a model of good manners - wags his tail, doesn't bark, doesn't provoke. Even when other dogs bark at him, he remains unshaken. We think he could possibly live with another calm dog, after initial introduction. He is a very well-mannered and well-behaved puppy, deserving of the title of a puppy angel. At the vet, he behaves impeccably - he can sit on his own, patiently waits, and easily takes medication. He isn't afraid of street traffic or passing cars. A true "good puppy" in any situation. Bravo is very sensitive, affectionate, and charming in human contact. At the same time, it's visible that the animal shelter somewhat overwhelms him - he is a bit lost and sad, as if not quite understanding why he ended up here. This makes him even more touching and heartwarming. The ideal home for Bravo is a quiet and warm home that will give him a sense of security and stability. A family or person who likes walks and will appreciate his gentle character. We don't recommend him for a home with small children, for a noisy home where a lot is happening, and which often has guests. If Bravo were to end up in a home where there is already another animal, an introduction with the resident is required.

PL·Show original

Bravo to trójkolorowy kundelek o sercu większym niż schroniskowy boks.

About Bravo

What life with Bravo looks like

Bravo is a medium-sized adult dog waiting at Schronisko Na Paluchu in Warsaw.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bravo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bravo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Na Paluchu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bravo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bravo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Na Paluchu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bravo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bravo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Na Paluchu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bravo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
