BRIE

Mixed Breed · Female

BRIE BRIE is about 8 months old, weighs around 1.5 kg, and came to us after a traffic accident. As a result of the incident, she required surgical intervention - her leg was set and the joint operated on. Currently, the limb is immobile, but sensation has been preserved, which gives good prognosis for further rehabilitation. BRIE came to us with a surgically removed tail and is recently spayed, so she had to have a home that took care of her. Despite difficult times, the cat is handling recovery well and is gradually returning to shape. BRIE is a gentle cat - she is kind, calm and affectionate. She easily uses the litter box, and her appetite is very good, which positively affects the healing process. Currently, the cat is under supervision and is not yet ready for adoption. She will be able to go to a new home after treatment and full recovery. We are hoping to find an owner. In case of any questions, please contact by phone. Prevention: The cat is under the care of a veterinarian. Welcome to our animal shelter. If you find the animal that steals your heart, we will help with transport to a new home at a reasonable distance. About BRIE

What life with BRIE looks like

BRIE is a small adult mixed breed cat waiting at Schronisko Psie Pole in Poland.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting BRIE, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about BRIE?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Psie Pole handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw BRIE on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt BRIE if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Psie Pole will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is BRIE already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if BRIE isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Psie Pole early rather than rehoming privately; they know BRIE and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
