It is very likely she was used for breeding and that she has had little experience of life as a regular dog. She has been staying in kennels so that she can adjust to a much larger world, where she is treated with kind hands and love, and where she can start to learn what it’s like to be a valued pet. We are now ready to find Brin her forever home and we are looking for a special home that can give her the patience, love and supportive environment she needs in order to continue building her confidence and learning how to dog. For this reason, we will be looking for a home with at least one other friendly dog, who can set a good example and help her to trust the new humans in her life. We expect Brin to learn quickly, but her new family will need to be prepared to teach her house-training, how to walk on a lead and to let her progress at her own pace. She will find a new home a frightening place to be in at first, as she has probably never lived in a house before, and her new family will need to provide her with a safe space and allow her to interact when she is ready. We will provide behaviourist support if needed – these dogs are incredibly rewarding dogs to work with as you can see them grow in confidence almost daily. Brin has been checked by the kennel’s vet and is in good health. She is a beautiful dog who deserves an equally beautiful home where she can live the rest of her life being the apple of someone’s eye!
