Brinkley

Greyhound · Male · Adult · 6 years

Brinkley is a wonderful boy, with so much potential. With reassurance, patience and lots of love we're sure he'll blossom. With his trusted friends, Brinkley enjoys a gentle fuss and will lean in for some attention. This lovely boy has been in a home before and was mostly housetrained. He's also quite happy spending a few hours home alone. Our beautiful and gentle soul Brinkley is ready to find his forever home where he can settle and relax. This sensitive boy much prefers the quiet life and would love to find a home with adopters who can take things slow as he finds his paws. Brinkley could live with upper secondary aged children who can understand his worries and give him all the time and space he might need. As a worried boy, he finds comfort in his doggy friends and is looking for a home with a confident resident dog to show him the ropes. His new family will need to commit to meeting him a few times here at the centre to build a relationship with him before he goes home. Brinkley does wear a muzzle out and about on his walkies.

About Brinkley

What life with Brinkley looks like

Brinkley is an adult greyhound dog waiting at Dogs Trust Kenilworth in Kenilworth.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Brinkley, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Brinkley?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Dogs Trust Kenilworth handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Brinkley on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Brinkley if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Dogs Trust Kenilworth will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Brinkley already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Brinkley isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Dogs Trust Kenilworth early rather than rehoming privately; they know Brinkley and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
