Brookie

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 2 months

adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Brookie has found her home! Her story: Brookie is the fluffiest of the seven siblings and one would want to cuddle her all day. With her fluffy, beige-white fur, she looks simply loveable and she is also a real gem character-wise. Currently living at the our shelter in Fantanele with her mother Runa and her siblings Donut, Camille, Lollypop, Makani, Nana, and Brookie, Brookie had a tough start in life – born under a bridge, the little ones had to fight for their lives early on, and unfortunately, two siblings did not make it. How impressive it is, then, that the lively and playful Brookie is today. She shows herself to be age-appropriate curious, playful, and open to new impressions. With other dogs, the little fluff ball gets along well, and cats have not been tested yet. Brookie is about 11 weeks old and weighs around 3 kg. Her mother Runa is about 50 cm tall, so Brookie is expected to be a medium-sized female dog. In her future home, Brookie wants to gain security, learn the dog-ABC, and collect many positive experiences. She is looking for people with patience, time, and joy in growing together. A loving upbringing and attending dog training classes will help her. As with all young dogs, puberty will also come for her at some point, but this phase will also be mastered with a lot of patience and a dash of humor. Brookie can be adopted starting February. By then, she will be microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas and will bring her EU pet passport with her. Who will give this fluff ball a loving home and let her settle in – forever? Brookie is also happy to be placed in a foster home as a stepping stone to a new life. A big thank you goes to Roxana, who gave Brookie her cute name. As of 14.01.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Stand: 14.01.2026

About Brookie

What life with Brookie looks like

Brookie is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Brookie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Brookie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Brookie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Brookie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Brookie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Brookie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Brookie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
