Adopt Brown

Mixed Breed · Male

Two beautiful and extremely charming brothers moved into Arca Sevilla two months ago. Tyson and Brown had a great life so far with really loving people who love their dogs more than anything. However, the economic crisis and Covid have forced many Spaniards to sell their homes or reorient themselves abroad, and pets are often left behind during these sad new beginnings. Tyson and Brown have coped well with moving to the animal shelter. After a few days of adjustment, the two quickly made friends with their four-legged housemates, and they won over the hearts of the volunteers even more quickly. The two male dogs are 1.5 years old (as of 06/2022) and classic mixed breed dogs (every breed added its own opinion). Brown and Tyson also prove that the funniest and most original dogs are created only by Mother Nature and not by humans through breeding and selection. The funny duo impresses not only through external characteristics; Tyson and Brown show every day that they are really smart and eager to learn young men. From their family, they have already learned basic commands, and hardly any other dog in the animal shelter has understood so quickly that small tricks, presented to the animal welfare workers at the right moment, almost always result in generous cookie donations. Although our cute clowns have been together all their lives and are good friends, it is not necessary to place them together (although of course that would be a dream). Brown and Tyson keep finding each other, but they do not spend the whole day seeking the other's company and get along well alone and with other animal friends. Friendly, cheerful and cuddly like the two brothers, equipped with all the knowledge that a family dog should have, one could say that Tyson and Brown deserve the label "beginner dog." Brown and Tyson get along with children, like visitors, show no interest in the ever-present cats in Arca, and bring a smile to everyone's face, even on dark days. We hope that soon loving and active families will be found for this dynamic duo, who will give Tyson and Brown a second chance to be a fantastic best friend for their owners - both have already proven their ability in this area!

About Brown

What life with Brown looks like

Brown is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. in Gernsbach.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Brown, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Brown?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Brown on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Brown if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Brown already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Brown isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Brown and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
