adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Brownie has found her home! Her story: Bistrita, Romania. The sweet little puppy dam Brownie, would like to sweeten your life. Brownie is approximately two months old and was found on the street with her five siblings. Now, just like her siblings, the little one is searching for a home. Brownie lives up to her name, with her dark brown fur and button eyes, Brownie is a true looker. The little Labradormix dam not only has a sweet name but is at least as sweet as the delicious baked goods. At the beginning, the little mouse needs a bit to develop trust in people, but once that trust is gained, she is open and enchants you with her sweet puppy gaze. But all of this brings her nothing in Romania, so all she wants more than anything is to live with you in security. Because that is more than she deserves. Brownie is looking for people who are not expecting anything from her and can show her the Welpen-Einmaleins. She is still very young and has a lot to learn. Therefore, one or another mishap should not be held against her, and the little one should always be accompanied by a positively reinforcing upbringing style. The sweet mouse is looking forward to her new life with nature walks, many cuddle hours, and also a visit to the puppy school, where she can learn together with other dogs. She travels microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas with an EU-pet passport to her new home. Brownie will be after a positive Also, we would be very happy to have a foster home for the little puppy dam. Would Brownie sweeten your life? Many thanks Diana T.-N.! You have given Brownie her name.

Vielen Dank Diana T.-N.! Du hast Brownie ihren Namen geschenkt.

About Brownie

What life with Brownie looks like

Brownie is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Brownie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Brownie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Brownie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Brownie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Brownie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Brownie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Brownie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
