Brunko bol pracovníkmi RVPS odobratý z nevhodných podmienok v lokalite Demeter, v košickej mestskej časti Ťahanovce. Žil uviazaný na reťazi v zanedbanom a znečistenom prostredí, medzi odpadom a rôznymi nahromadenými vecami. Mal blchy, kliešte a zo začiatku sa veľmi bál. Brunko poznal iba priestor, kam dosiahla jeho reťaz. Nemohol sa poriadne rozbehnúť, ísť tam, ňuchať si v trávičke, hrať sa, skúmať okolie ani jednoducho robiť všetky tie obyčajné veci, ktoré k životu mladého psíka patria. O veľa toho prišiel a veľa sa toho ešte len musí naučiť a spoznať. O to viac si teraz užíva každú chvíľu voľnosti. Behá, čuchá, skúma okolie, objavuje hračky a dokáže sa z toho všetkého úprimne tešiť. Je to mladý, aktívny a veselý pes, ktorý má zrazu pred sebou svet oveľa väčší než len priestor vymedzený reťazou. Je to veľký a silný mladý pes, ktorý potrebuje usmernenie a jasne nastavené hranice. Keď sa pri hre veľmi rozblázni, z radosti občas chytá človeka za ruky alebo nohy. Nie je to prejav agresivity, skôr nezvládnuté nadšenie a hra. Vzhľadom na jeho veľkosť je však dôležité na tomto správaní ďalej pracovať a naučiť ho, ako sa s človekom hrať vhodným spôsobom. K ľuďom je priateľský a bezproblémový. Absolvoval už viacero venčení a z každého človeka sa veľmi teší. Manipulácia je bezproblémová. Pri pravidelnom venčení má hygienické návyky. S fenkami vychádza bez problémov a rád trávi čas v ich spoločnosti. Jeho znášanlivosť so psami – samcami zatiaľ nemáme dostatočne odskúšanú, túto informáciu doplníme čo najskôr. Brunko si hľadá domov ideálne v rodinnom dome s kvalitnou zateplenou búdou. Potrebuje dostatok pohybu, pravidelný kontakt s ľuďmi a pokračovať vo výchove. Hľadáme pre neho ľudí, ktorí mu doprajú život, aký doteraz nepoznal – s dostatkom pohybu, pozornosti a spoločnosti, kde nebude len psom na dvore, ale súčasťou rodiny.
