Bruno-14

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 6 years

Country of Origin: Hungary May we introduce Bruno, this handsome four-legged friend! But Bruno also had no luck, was apparently no longer wanted, and wandered aimlessly around the streets of Albertirsa. Kind passersby called the Menhely, and Bruno was immediately picked up. During the chip check, they struck gold, but the chip was not registered and thus worthless. Since December 17, 2025, he has been waiting hopefully "behind bars" for a positive turn in his life. For his people, who would show him the sunny sides of life and never leave him in the lurch. Bruno is a friendly, lively, and lovable four-legged friend who, despite the winter and the icy cold, which take a lot from the dogs, has adapted quite well to his new living situation, as they live outdoors in the kennels and not in warm rooms. The animal shelter might be better than his previous life… but it should be even better. He is happy when given time and attention – something that was apparently lacking in his life so far. He enjoys cuddles and affection. Bruno wants to be mentally and physically challenged and nurtured when he finally settles into his new home. At the beginning: learning and solidifying the puppy basics, and with his people, pushing the "school bench." But he is a clever fellow, and it will surely be a lot of fun working and training with him. Maybe Bruno and his people also have fun with mantrailing, agility, or other activities – as long as both human and dog have a good time together. Bruno gets along well with his fellow animals and is currently (January 12, 2026) being integrated into a mixed pack. For our wonderful Bruno, we are looking for an enterprising and dog-loving home with people who love to be outdoors, value the company of a four-legged friend, challenge and nurture him dog-appropriately, pamper him with love and care, give him clear but loving guidance, and offer him a 100% family connection. Who has a cozy dog bed for Bruno? Bruno is missing an ear tip. During castration, Bruno had a convulsion, which must be kept in mind should any anesthesia or operation be necessary. On February 12, 2026, a voluntary, Hungarian helper writes: "Bruno came into the care of the animal shelter in December 2025. At mentor events, we got to know him at the shelter playground. Bruno loves people and likes children. Friendly, loving, and trusting. He is very cuddly and was very happy on the playground, as several mentors and mentors stroked and pampered him. He is active, lively, and full of energy. He loves to run and play, is full of energy. He looks forward to playful tasks, is clever and attentive. He would like to go for a walk with his new owner every day and also go on excursions or hikes. He is ready to be occupied and affectionate all day long. In his new home, he wishes for love, respect, patience, and an education on a leash basis. He has a dog buddy with whom he lives in a run. Therefore, he is also sociable with existing dogs. On the leash, he can be led." Bruno is ready for travel.

About Bruno-14

What life with Bruno-14 looks like

Bruno-14 is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Animal Happyend in Animal Happyend.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bruno-14, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bruno-14?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Animal Happyend handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bruno-14 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bruno-14 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Animal Happyend will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bruno-14 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bruno-14 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Animal Happyend early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bruno-14 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
