Bruno

Mixed Breed Cat Β· Male Β· Kitten Β· 9 months

Bruno has only just arrived at StraySafe, so he's a little uncertain of his surroundings, understandably. πŸ’œ This handsome black and white domestic longhair came into our care after being surrendered by his owner due to unforeseen circumstances. It’s a big change for Bruno, but so far he has taken everything in his stride and is settling into his foster home. Bruno is a friendly, calm and affectionate boy who loves attention from the people around him. He particularly enjoys being stroked and brushed, which is handy given that gorgeous fluffy coat of his! πŸ₯° We are told he has a wonderfully relaxed nature and seems happiest when he can settle down somewhere comfortable and enjoy some fuss. And, as you can see from the photos, he’s also rather handsome… though we’re not entirely sure what he thinks of the hoodie he was gifted by his owner! πŸ˜‚ As Bruno has only just joined us, we’re still getting to know him and will be learning more about his personality and what sort of home will suit him best over the coming days and weeks. For now, we’re giving him plenty of time and space to settle in, and lots of affection when he's ready. πŸ’œπŸ±

About Bruno

What life with Bruno looks like

Bruno is a large kitten mixed breed cat cat waiting at StraySafe Rescue in United Kingdom.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months β€” most shelters arrange this before adoption.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bruno, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bruno?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. StraySafe Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bruno on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bruno if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” StraySafe Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Bruno already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bruno isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with StraySafe Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bruno and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
