Bruyon

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy

Bruyon, the tough-looking but soft-hearted cat Bruyon loves to play the tough one... especially when she doesn't know the people coming to meet her! At first, she may hide and hiss, and as soon as she's a little scared, she doesn't hesitate to let her little voice be heard. But behind this "tough" attitude is actually a very sweet and endearing little cat. Because Bruyon never has a bad attitude towards humans and never shows her claws. Once she feels confident, she reveals a completely different side of her personality: that of a joyful and tireless player! Fishing rods, balls and all kinds of games... everything interests her and she could play for hours. And when it's time for cuddles, Bruyon also knows how to enjoy her comfort. She loves long sessions of tenderness and then stretches out, her neck well exposed, as if to fully savor this moment of softness. She's a foodie and is easily convinced with a little treat or some wet food! Bruyon will need a loving and patient family who will accept to give her the time she needs to settle in and discover her new life at her own pace. Once trust is established, there's no doubt that this little tough one will show all her soft heart. The presence of a sociable cat in her new home would be a real asset to help her gain confidence and thrive. Come meet her at her foster home!

About Bruyon

What life with Bruyon looks like

Bruyon is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Arche de Noé Brest in France.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bruyon, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bruyon?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Arche de Noé Brest handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bruyon on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bruyon if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Arche de Noé Brest will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bruyon already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bruyon isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Arche de Noé Brest early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bruyon and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
