Het verhaal van Bubba: Op veel Griekse eilanden, zoals ook Lefkas, is het zwerfhonden probleem groot, met name puppydumping. Gelukkig zijn er altijd dierenliefhebbers die zich dagelijks inzetten voor de arme dieren. Sinds ruim 15 jaar biedt ‘Little Friends Lefkas’ hulp aan dieren in nood. Bubba en zijn broers en zussen (toen nog puppy's) werden achtergelaten bij een klooster. Ze verkeerden in slechte staat en zaten onder de wonden en sneden. Gelukkig werden ze gevonden door Little Friends Lefkas en konden ze daar herstellen. Lieve Bubba met zijn goedmoedige, innemende karakter was gewond aan zijn snuit/gezicht toen hij werd gevonden. Zijn oog was toen beschadigd, maar gelukkig heeft hij er helemaal geen last van. We denken dat hij nog vormen kan onderscheiden met dat oog en over het algemeen heeft hij geen problemen met zijn gezichtsvermogen. Hij houdt van spelen, achter ballen rennen, wandelen aan de lijn en rustig kijken naar de wereld die aan hem voorbijtrekt. Een grotere lieverd dan Bubba? Die bestaat niet, zowel qua uiterlijk als innerlijk! Vrolijke, zachtaardige Bubba heeft een zachte, zijdeachtige vacht. Als hij gewassen is dan ziet hij er geweldig uit. Wanneer hij nieuwe mensen ontmoet, wordt hij soms enthousiast en als hij opspringt om je te begroeten, zie je hoe groot hij is. Al doet hij dit de laatste tijd wat minder, ook al is hij pas 4 jaar en eigenlijk dus nog een jonge prins. Bubba is gewoon een ontzettende vriendelijke kerel met een heel leven nog voor zich. Sociale Bubba is dol op aandacht van mensen, komt heel graag knuffelen en speelt leuk met de andere honden op het opvangcentrum. Hij trekt zich weinig aan van katten en heeft geen problemen met kinderen. Bubba heeft simpelweg een erg zacht, sociaal karakter; hij is zo geliefd in het rescuecentrum.
