adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal!Bubi found a home quickly! His story: Bubi – small, black, irresistible. When you see Bubi, you think immediately: "Oh, little gentleman – what do you have in mind today?" With his shiny black fur, his clever brown eyes, and the delicate white hairs on his chest and chin, he looks like a tiny secret agent in a teddy bear suit – ready to slip directly into your heart. Bubi was found together with his four siblings – Peps, Ayla, Hazelnut, and Foxy – at the edge of a forest clearing, soaked, dirty, and hungry. But that didn't dampen his spirits. In the foster home in Cluj, he now shows himself as an alert, friendly little rascal with an extra portion of curiosity and cuddle needs. His look? Absolutely charming: black, silky fur, floppy ears with a slight wobble, and a face that vacillates between "I didn't do it!" and "Can I please have just one more treat?" His white chest and the mini whiskers on his chin give him that certain something – a true charmer through and through. Bubi is still at the very beginning of his little doggy life. What he doesn't know yet: house training, leash, being alone, car rides, and holding his frustration. What he brings, however, is a willingness to learn, a good portion of humor, and the firm desire to go through life together with his people. When puberty arrives, Bubi – like every young dog – will also sometimes put up a fuss. Loving consequences, positive reinforcement, and a large supply of patience are called for here. Positive working dog training classes can be a great help – not just for training, but also for bonding and trust. Bubi is looking for people who stand by his side with heart and mind. They know that a puppy isn't perfect and needs time, safety, and loving companionship. He doesn't want to be a toy, a filler, but a full-fledged family member with a cuddly factor and a bit of mischief in his head. Bubi is vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for fleas. He brings an EU pet passport with him and would be very happy to go to a loving foster home! Thanks to Mia – you gave Bubi his name! As of: 06.08.

Danke an Mia – du hast Bubi seinen Namen geschenkt! Stand: 06.08.2025

About Bubi

What life with Bubi looks like

Bubi is a very small young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bubi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bubi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bubi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bubi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bubi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bubi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bubi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
