Bubi

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 8 years

BubiFemale dog, small in size. Approx. 8 years old (September 2026). Gorgeous, gentle and friendly girl who gets on well with other dogs. Meet BubiBubi was found living on the streets and taken to the pound. At first, everyone hoped that an owner would come looking for her. No one ever did. That was back in 2021 which means she has spent much of her life waiting in the pound. Thanks to Animal Support Trust, Bubi is sponsored while she waits safely in UB Pound, which fortunately is a pound with excellent standards. But however well she is cared for, a pound can never replace a home and family of her own. Bubi is good with other dogs. She has not been tested with cats or children. After all these years of waiting, Bubi finally has the chance to be seen and find the family she has been missing for so long. Bubi is spayed, vaccinated, and negative on tests. Our dogs are tested for the following conditions as part of our standard testing procedure - Heartworm, Anaplasmosis, Lyme Disease, Ehrlichiosis and Brucellosis (Since 11th June 2021). About Bubi

What life with Bubi looks like

Bubi is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Balkan Underdogs in Tirana.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇦🇱Adopting from Albania

The shelter typically completes the animal's vaccinations, microchipping, and pet passport before adoption. Specific fees and process details vary by shelter and country — confirm directly via the contact details in the sidebar.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bubi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bubi?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Balkan Underdogs handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bubi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bubi if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Balkan Underdogs will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Bubi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bubi isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Balkan Underdogs early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bubi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
